How He Killed His Best Friend Chapter Five (CONCLUSION)
CHAPTER FIVE: MONSTERS OF THE NIGHT 2.
Ifeanyi staggered out of the Keke the moment they arrived
home. Kennedy, less drunk, paid the fare. When he finished, he went to join
Ifeanyi to pee against the wall, wondering why he had been rather quiet since
he told him about his parents’ divorce. At first Kennedy had assumed it was
drunkenness but then he knew his best friend; Ifeanyi was loudest when drunk.
Something was different. His quietness unsettled Kennedy.

How He Killed His Best Friend Chapter Three
CHAPTER THREE: UNREQUITED LOVE.
Kennedy called Sylvia the moment he went back to the
room. At first, Adaora seemed pleased to see him, but as she lay on the bed
pressing her phone, listening to the call drag on while Kennedy explained why
he couldn’t keep the appointment, her mood changed. She became restless, made
faces and sulked. Kennedy didn’t notice until he ended the call. She ignored
him totally, pretending to be serious with her phone

How He Killed His Best Friend Chapter Two
CHAPTER TWO: DAUGHTER OF EVE.
Kennedy momentarily forgot his family problems when he
arrived at Ifeanyi”s hostel. It was a single row of six self-contained rooms
somewhere in Ifite. The minute he stepped into the room, a familiar female
figure screamed gleefully and jumped on him. They laughed as they held each
other. Behind them, Ifeanyi sat smiling.
The
girl was Adaora, Ifeanyi’s kid sister, fresh out of secondary school, looking
all cute and innocent in her relaxed and styled low cut hair. She smelled of
Fantasy spray, sweet and flowery.

How He Killed His Best Friend Chapter One
CHAPTER ONE: INNER CONFLICT.
The invigilator announced that there was only fifteen
minutes left to turn in their papers. Kennedy didn’t care, he was nearly done.
The class was now half empty, a trickle of students turning in their completed
answer sheets. MKT 306 was the last paper of the semester and each student
submitting sheets had a smile on his face as he left – third year was over;
final year beckoned.
